This series has as title The Mortal Instruments, I start it and in a fact I had no intention on finished it, I’m no fan of thins kinds of stories, but I started to read it for a quote I saw on the cover of the books that said: “The Mortal Instruments series is a story world that I love to live in. Beautiful!” by Stephenie Meyer. And also my friend Kokoro recommend me to read it, but in the end was more for the cover.
Here’s the synopsis…
“When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder — much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing — not even a smear of blood — to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . .”
I liked a lot this book, is fun and is totally different from any other books, on this one there’s always fighting, tension, sarcasm, romance and hate a lot of hate, which is great.
It maybe sounds wrong to say “a lot of hate” but is a frustrated hate, cuz Jace loves Clary but is a impossible thing, well more than impossible is unthinkable and however it exist and is for that reason that they “try to hate” each other but they can’t make it, and it’s very pretty.
